Recognized for Outstanding Waste Reduction
Established in 1993, the Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP) provides an opportunity for California businesses and nonprofit organizations to gain public recognition for their outstanding waste reduction efforts.
Other 2011 winners included Hewlett Packard, Intel, Yahoo, Apple Inc., and Jet Propulsion Laboratories.
WRAP 2011 award honorees earned the right to use the WRAP winner logo on products, advertising, and business websites to demonstrate that the State recognized their efforts to reduce waste.
A Continued Commitment to Sustainability
Office Solutions reported recycling more than 1,134,489 pounds of waste, demonstrating its dedication to conserving resources and reducing environmental impact.

The Lean Green Recycling Program
Founded in 1984, Office Solutions developed its own internal recycling program.
To continue its efforts toward environmentally responsible business practices, the internal "Lean Green" program became a complimentary service offered to clients.
By the time of the 2011 announcement, more than 300 companies had signed up for the Lean Green program, extending recycling practices beyond Office Solutions' own operations.

Client-site recycling receptacles and free pickup services for paper, electronics, cardboard, batteries, scrap metal, and other recyclable materials helped customers participate in Office Solutions' waste reduction model.
Supporting Businesses With Waste Regulations
With new California state legislation requiring businesses to be accountable for their waste beginning July 1, 2012, Office Solutions announced a mission to help businesses understand how to comply with state regulations through its Lean Green program.
