YORBA LINDA, CA (December 21, 2011) — Office Solutions, Southern California’s
largest independent commercial office product and furniture supplier, announced their 4th
consecutive win of the WRAP award in the California Department of Resources Recycling
and Recovery (CalRecycle) program. Established in 1993, the Waste Reduction Awards
Program (WRAP) provides an opportunity for California businesses and nonprofit
organizations to gain public recognition for their outstanding waste reduction efforts. Other
2011 winners include Hewlett Packard, Intel, Yahoo, Apple Inc., and Jet Propulsion
Laboratories.

WRAP 2011 award honorees earn the rights to use the WRAP winner logo. The logo is
authorized to be used on products, advertising and business websites to show that the State
applauds their efforts to reduce waste.

Office Solutions, having recycled over 1,134,489 lbs. of waste, has proven to be a
sustainability pioneer. Being a fourth year WRAP award recipient, Office Solutions has
maintained and shown their dedication to the conservation of used resources. Started in
1984, Office Solutions developed their own internal recycling program. To continue their
push towards best green practices, this internal “Lean Green” program became a
complimentary service to its clients. “I see the award as affirmation of our company-wide
efforts to be a responsible corporate citizen,” said Office Solutions President and co-founder,
Bob Mairena. “Our environmental efforts are more rewarding because it encourages our
customers to put in place their own recycling programs,” Mairena concluded. To date more
than 300 companies have signed up with the “Lean Green” program.

created company-wide initiatives to build up their “Lean Green” campaign.

• Monthly “Green” newsletters, statistics, tips and eco-friendly product
  information are posted on the Office Solutions website and through social media
  channels such as Facebook and Twitter.

• A step-by-step “Lean Green” program was developed to aid customers in
  launching their own recycling programs. Recycling basics, green product catalogs,
  sustainability statement templates and environmental impact worksheets are a
  just a few of the items featured within this program.

• Client site based recycling receptacles with free pick-up of paper, electronics,
  cardboard, batteries, scrap metal and more helps encourage customers to endorse
  the Office Solutions’ waste reduction business model.
  With new state legislation requiring business to be accountable for their waste, starting July
  1st, 2012, Office Solutions is now making it a new mission to show businesses how to
  comply with state regulations utilizing the “Lean Green” program.
